28. Path
Fishing Line, Paper, Pastel

2008
I wanted to create an invisible path. My use of fishing line came from experiencing the abrupt change of weather patterns in Iceland. Visualizing motion, I began working with fishing line, attaching each line to the ceiling. Beginning at the top, I worked my way down to the ground, looping and curling each line with a knitting needle to activate the line in space. To catch and punctuate light and cast a glimpse of color, hole-punched paper fragments were affixed to the fishing line - here and there.
